{"id":6531,"date":"2026-06-30T16:12:29","date_gmt":"2026-06-30T21:12:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.flcssc.org\/wordpress\/?p=6531"},"modified":"2026-06-30T16:12:29","modified_gmt":"2026-06-30T21:12:29","slug":"ponderings-from-pastor-patti-july-2026","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.flcssc.org\/wordpress\/2026\/06\/30\/ponderings-from-pastor-patti-july-2026\/","title":{"rendered":"Ponderings from Pastor Patti &#8211; July 2026"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div class=\"\"><p>Happy Fourth of July.<\/p>\n<p>I pray that you all stay safe this summer as you travel and adventure into spaces known or unknown.\u00a0 Whether those spaces include a flower bed that needs sprucing up, a lawn chair in your back yard that beckons your presence or traveling to far-off places\u2026know that God is present with you.<\/p>\n<p>Acts 17:27 \u2013 <em>[His purpose in all this] is that they should seek after God, and perhaps feel their way toward him and find him\u2014though he is not far from any one of us.<\/em> (NLT)<\/p>\n<p>Like the lawn chair beckoning your presence, God beckons you as well.\u00a0 God beckons us to stop and smell the freshness of nature, to enjoy the sounds and rhythms of this world we live in, and to live into our baptismal promises.\u00a0 Summer, in the liturgical sense, is a time of connection, a time to learn more about our connection with the creator of all things.\u00a0 And one way to experience that connection more is to live into it.\u00a0 To be aware of our surroundings wherever we are this summer.\u00a0 God\u2019s creation is more vibrant during the summer with all the plants in bloom and the animals frolicking about, and so it\u2019s not hard to encounter God with any and all of our summer activities.<\/p>\n<p>This verse from Acts can be a very good reminder for us\u2026that God has a purpose and presence with us.<\/p>\n<p>Join in with worship this summer to explore the lives of some of the Old Testament saints, and experience Jesus hidden in the Old Testament which He has now fulfilled.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0Blessings in your summer journey,<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Pastor Patti<\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Happy Fourth of July.
